Rules applied to email handling
- When an email is received in the specified mailbox, the email database table is checked for all persons associated with the email address.
- If only one person is associated with the email address— even if the email address is used as a private and business type—a communication is created for the person and is associated with the Sage CRM user.
- If a company and one or more persons are associated with the same email address, Sage CRM creates a communication for the company only.
- If an associated person can't be found, Sage CRM checks the email table for an associated company and creates a communication for the company. The communication is also associated with the Sage CRM user.
