Configuring SMTP and POP3 for Exchange Online (Office 365)
You can use Exchange Online as an SMTP and POP3 server with Sage CRM. Exchange Online requires the use of TLS with SMTP / POP3. This is supported natively by Sage CRM.
- Log into Outlook Web Access (OWA) at login.microsoftonline.com.
- Open mail POP and IMAP settings.
At the time of writing, these settings were available at the following URL:
- Note the server name and ports. Typically, you need SMTP settings for sending emails and POP settings for Email Manager. The default settings are as follows:

- Open mail POP and IMAP settings.
- In Sage CRM, go to <My Profile> | Administration | Email and Documents | Email Configuration.
- Enter the server name and port.
- To send emails to Exchange Online, select Use TLS for SMTP.

- Click <My Profile> | Administration | Email and Documents | Email Management Server Options and select Use TLS for POP.
- Sage CRM automatically negotiates the correct version of TLS with Exchange Online.
